ABOUT US
A brief history of our church Set Free Christian Fellowship-San Bernardino began as a mission of Set Free Christian Fellowship Yucaipa. In 1996 Pastor Willie Dalgity started doing Outreach's in San Bernardino and found a building on the corner of Baseline and Sterling Avenues. In 1997 we moved into the much larger building that we currently have at 473 W. Baseline Street and have been here since. PASTORS: In 1997 Pastor Dalgity sent Pastor John ‘Tree’ Vander Hoek to be the pastor and he remained until 2000 when an opportunity opened to start a Church and Ranch in Grass Valley, California. Pastor Willie Dalgity then set apart Pastor Richard ‘Honky’ Charlton to be the pastor for a year, until 2001, when an opportunity opened up for another Church start in Victorville, CA and also a Ranch in Apple Valley, CA. Pastor Charlton’s Associate Pastor Francisco ‘Pancho’ Ramirez was raised up as Senior Pastor. At the end of 2003, due to economical and family reasons, Pastor Ramirez resigned as Senior Pastor and raised up his Associate Pastor Raymond Slocum to be the Senior Pastor. On January 1, 2004 Raymond Slocum was voted by the board as Senior Pastor and he remains Senior Pastor to this date. PROGRAM: Since April 1996, In the 14.5 years we have been in San Bernardino, we have averaged sending at least 35 people to our Ranch per month. That is approximately 6090 people off the street, out of prison, out of gangs, etc. In our Discipleship program, we average 250 + people a year through the program. Not only are they discipled in the Word of God, they also are taught a good work ethic and are vocationally rehabilitated in various ways! We have also partnered with a ministry called Home Team Volunteers where our disciples are cash register terminal trained, inventory trained, and work at several sports events and venues in Southern California such as Angel Stadium, Honda Center, Anaheim Convention Center, Petco Center, Qualcomm Stadium, L.A. Convention center, and other various locations. At the end of their training they not only have personal references, but also a viable work history to put on a resume or job application.
